Rebecca Lape

Rebecca Ann Lape, 72, died April 6, 2024, in Moberly, Missouri.

Ms. Lape was born April 24, 1951, in Aberdeen, Maryland to Harlan Lape and Virginia (Morris) Lape, both deceased.

She earned a Master’s degree in English literature from Missouri State University and an undergraduate degree from Drury University, both located in Springfield, Missouri.  She was a gypsy-like free spirit who enjoyed being in nature and a great Aretha Franklin song.

She is survived by her daughter, Rachael Lape; son, Derrick Dickey; sister, Christine McDaniel; brother, Nick Lape; two granddaughters; and various nieces and nephews.
