Richard Samuel Breusch, 93, of Moberly, MO, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 11, 2025.
Richard was born on August 20, 1931, to Fred and Minnie Breusch. He served in the United States Air Force from 1949-1954 and was stationed in Texas where he met his wife, Ruth.
Richard worked at McDonnell Douglass as an airplane mechanic in St. Louis and at Cater Funeral Home before going to work for the United States Postal Service in Moberly. He was a letter carrier for 35 years, never missing a day of work. He enjoyed traveling, farming, his cattle, gardening, and helping others.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Minnie Breusch, of Moberly; sister, Martha Sue Morris, of Jefferson City; and daughter, Christine Zeltner, of Moberly.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Ruth; sons, Charles Breusch and Eric (Deanna) Breusch; daughter, Emily (Timothy) McKeen; nine grandchildren, Michael Breusch, Meghan Comstock, Ryan Breusch, Zachary Lorentzen, Caleb Zeltner, Hailey Breusch, Johnny Breusch, Krysta Durham, Ericka Golden; and 16 great grandchildren.
A family led visitation will be held Friday, August 15, 2025, from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Jefferson Avenue Methodist Church in Moberly, MO, with a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m.
A Private Family Inurnment will take place at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville at a later date.
