Richard Brown

Richard Dale Brown, 84, of Moberly passed away January 17, 2019 at Meadow Ridge Estates, Moberly, MO. Richard was born October 12, 1934 in Moberly, MO to Louis Brown and Mary Frances Meyers Brown. Richard returned to the Moberly area in 2017 from Kansas City to be closer to family. He spent 24 years honorably serving his country in the United States Army. Richard’s favorite pastime was travelling. He enjoyed taking scenic trips around the entire United States, including trips to the Ozarks and Branson. When he was at home, he loved to spend his free time working on jigsaw puzzles and was an avid stamp collector. Richard is preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter, Marie Wamsley. Survivors include children, Norma (Wayne) Wamsley of Moberly, MO, Norman (Stephanie) Brown of California, Richard (Sheila) Brown of Wichita KS; grandchildren, Kelly Wamsley of St. Louis, MO, Kevin Wamsley of Moberly, MO Cassandra Brown and Alexandria Brown both of Wichita, KS; extended family and close friends. Graveside services celebrating Richard’s life will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO with full military honors.
