Richard Phillips

Richard L. Phillips, age 58, of Moberly, MO, passed away surrounded by family and loved ones on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at his mother and stepdad’s home.

Casino/Ricky was born on May 1, 1967, in Iowa City, IA to Annetta Phillips. He graduated with a GED from Waterloo, IA, moved to Moberly, MO, and accepted a position in road construction.

He enjoyed KC Chiefs games, dominoes, boxing and spending time with his family. His family and friends will always remember his crazy sense of humor and him being a great big brother--very protective of his sisters.

Ricky is preceded in death by his grandmother, Stella Mae Robinson; grandfather, Eddie Lee Phillips; uncle, Charles Robinson; aunts, Judy Davis and Shelley Hudson-Hopkins.

He is survived by his mother, Annetta (Ralph) Robinson, of Huntsville and father Jerry McGary, of Phoenix, AZ; twin sisters, Lynda McGary, of Columbia, MO and Brynda McGary, of Moberly, MO; children Martarious Miller, of Tempe, AZ, Cordarius James Phillips, of Waterloo, IA, Larissa Phillips-Riley, of Moberly, MO, Alicia Davidson, of Moberly, MO, Kaleasha Marie Carpenter, of Cedar Rapids, IA, Anthony Nelson, of Moberly, MO, Kayla Carpenter Ritzke, of Cedar Rapids, IA, Lalani Nickerson, of Cairo, MO, and special acknowledgement of the Three Amigos: Ian, Tay and Graydon; and seven grandchildren.

A service celebrating Ricky’s life is scheduled for Friday, June 13, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 12:00 Noon - 1:00 p.m.
