Ricky Dean Franklin

Ricky “Rick” Dean Franklin, 68, of Moberly, MO, passed away on Monday, September 8, 2025, at Boone Hospital in Columbia.

Rick was born on July 18, 1957, in Moberly, MO, to Ronald and Donna (Farrell) Franklin. He graduated from Moberly High School and was employed many years at the State Highway Department. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing guitar, and singing in several different bands throughout the years.

Rick is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Franklin; grandparents, Kelly and Gladys Farrell and Robert and Lucy Franklin.

He is survived by his daughter, Amanda (Doug) Devenport, of Moberly, MO; mother, Donna Franklin, of Moberly, MO; grandchildren, Reimund Ruiz and Elsie Devenport, both of Moberly, MO; brother, Ronald “Steve” (Linda) Franklin, of Jacksonville, MO; sister, Rhonda Franklin, of Moberly, MO; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service celebrating Rick’s life will be held at a later date.
