Robert Lee Clark Sr.

Robert Lee Clark Sr., 83, of Higbee, Missouri, passed away on March 21, 2024, at Aspire Senior Living in Moberly, Missouri.

Robert was born on March 1, 1941, in Stover, Missouri, to Dewey and Anna (Woods) Clark. He graduated from Higbee High School. 

Robert later married Peggy Ann Bowden on June 24, 1962, in Moberly, Missouri.

He worked at CertainTeed in Kansas City, then DuPont in Moberly until it closed, he then transferred to Fort Madison, Iowa, until his retirement.

Robert enjoyed working on cars, watching the Higbee Tigers, drinking coffee with the boys and spoiling the grandkids. He was an avid member of the Higbee Booster Club and ran the firework stand for several years. He was a huge Higbee Tiger fan. 

His family and friends will always remember him as a hardworking, kind loving and generous man.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Clark; parents, Dewey and Anna Clark; brothers, Charlie, Richard and Freddy Clark; mother and father-in-law, Bill and Eloise Bowden; sisters-in-law, Barbara Esry, Myra Clark and Gladys Clark; brother-in-law, Clarence Gordon.

Robert is survived by his two sons, Robert (Jane) Clark Jr. of Higbee, MO and Danny (Rebecca) Clark of Higbee, MO; six grandchildren, Emilie Clark, Evan Clark, Heather (Thomas) Imhoff, Shanna (Robert) Christenson, Hope (Kade) Frey and Will Clark; eleven great-grandchildren; siblings, Hazel Gordon of Higbee, MO, Herschel Clark of Moberly, MO, Louise (Jody) Perkins of Higbee, MO, Donald Clark of Higbee, MO; sisters-in-law, Dani (Mike) Hacinek of California and Billie (Robert) Smith of California; several nieces; nephews; cousins and many friends.

A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, MO. A funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, followed by entombment at Higbee City Cemetery.

If desired, memorial contributions may be sent to the Higbee School Sports Program at 101 Evans St. Higbee, MO 65257, in honor of Robert.
