Robert Lee Holley

Robert “Bob” was born on April 3, 1956, to Leon Holley and Francis Dampers (Holley).

Bob graduated from Higbee High School in 1974 and he moved to Columbia, MO and accepted a position as a concrete laborer, at Little Dixie Construction, where he worked for more than 25+ years.

Robert “Bob” was a member of the Woodcrest Church and enjoyed his time being a member. Robert “Bob” was a hard worker, great friend, and a family man.  He was a social, active man who was deeply involved in church, city league softball, for the majority of his life. His family and friends will always remember him for his big smile, very humorous and always on time. In his later years he enjoyed driving around town and hanging out at Fast Lane on Paris Road.

He is preceded in death by his parents, father, Leon Holley, mother, Francis (Dampers) Holley, three sisters, Logan Mae Holley, Barbara Jean (Holley) Harvey and Francis Anne Holley. 

Bob is survived by his son, Daniel Lee Holley, of Columbia, MO, brother’s, John Holley and wife, Judy, of Columbia, MO, brother, Leon Holley Jr. (Bishop) of Denver, CO, sister, Mary Holley-Houston, of Moberly, MO, three grandkids, Nakyra, Eden and Ira, of Columbia, MO and several nieces, nephews and cousins, and close friend Mike Smarr.

A funeral service celebrating Bob’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at Pathway-Mallard Family Funeral Chapel, Moberly, MO, with interment at Higbee Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
