Rodney Wayne Crabtree, born on April 19, 1967, in Hannibal, Missouri, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2026, at Hannibal Regional Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

He spent over 20 years working at Ray's Used Auto, where he was a familiar and trusted figure. Rodney was an active and social person who deeply cherished his role as a father and grandfather. He found joy and fulfillment in being involved with his children and grandchildren, always making time for them no matter how busy life got.

Rodney also enjoyed simpler pleasures that brought him happiness. He liked going to auctions, putting together models, and collecting knives—hobbies that reflected his thoughtful and meticulous nature.

Rodney married Loretta Pankey on August 7, 2021, in Moberly, Missouri. Their bond was a special part of his life.

Rodney leaves behind a wonderful family who will dearly miss him. His wife, Loretta Crabtree; his children Dorothy (Christopher) Bailey of Moberly, MO; Courtney Gravitt of Mexico, MO; Kayla Stewart of Scott City, KS; Kelly (Matthew) LeMaster of Scott City, KS; William Crabtree of Moberly, MO; Rodney Crabtree II of Moberly, MO; Ashley (Brandon) McAnally of Wichita, KS; and son-in-law Dustin Brockmeier of Moberly, MO. He was a proud grandfather to Savannah Bailey, Brooklynne Bailey, Tabitha Bailey, Rocky Wilbanks, Marie Moore, Laura Moore, Bobby Moore, Keetan Moore, Ayden Stewart, Christopher LeMaster, Mylez Gravitt, Viviann Brockmeier, Natalie Brockmeier, Cailin McAnally, Kenzie McAnally, Waylon McAnally, Lincoln Rose McAnally, and Ayala Crabtree.

Rodney’s siblings, Kevin (Ethel) Crabtree, B.J. (Liza) Williams, Kathy (Terry) Fessenden, Michelle (Walter) Bochorst, Tony (JoAnne) Crabtree, Steven (Keri) Crabtree, Lenard (Cindy Davis) Crabtree, Connie (Dan) Pearlstein, and Laura Fowler. He also cherished his adopted parents Ray and Joyce Loftis and close friend, Bryson Raney.

He was preceded in death by his father, Lenard Crabtree; mother, Sharon Lent; daughter, Katie Brockmeier; grandson, Sibastian Gravitt; brother, Randall Crabtree; and niece, Marissa Dawn Marie Orlando.

Those wishing to pay their respects may visit the Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapel at 411 Union Ave, Moberly, MO 65270. Visitation is scheduled for March 18, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service at 12:00 p.m.

Rodney Wayne Crabtree lived a life marked by love, hard work, and devotion to his family and friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, his social spirit, and the warmth he brought into the lives of those around him. Rest well, Rodney. You will be sadly missed but forever remembered.
