Ronald Duane Dawkins

Ronald Duane Dawkins, 60, of Moberly passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015. Ronnie was born to Nolan and Helen (Snyder) Dawkins on November 21, 1954 in Chillicothe, Missouri. He retired from the Labor’s Local #955 Union after many years of dedicated service. He was very proud of his Union and worked on many projects such as the power plant and building the towers at Thomas Hill. Ronnie was an avid pool player and enjoyed the tournaments he played in. He is survived by his daughter, Gretchen Smothers and husband Robert Ryan Smothers of Columbia, Missouri; brother, John David Dawkins and wife Christie of Moberly, Missouri; granddaughter, Riley Ann Lucas; nephew, Billy Dawkins and wife Samantha of Moberly, Missouri; niece, Amy Dawkins of Moberly, Missouri; great-nephew, Justin Dawkins; great-niece, Kati Dawkins; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. A visitation will be held on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorial contributions in Ronnie’s honor be made to his granddaughter, Riley Ann Lucas.
