Russell J. Claggett

Russell J. Claggett, age 89, of Moberly, Missouri, went home to the Lord on November 9, 2023, at Aspire Nursing and Rehabilitation in Moberly.

Russell “June” to family, was born on August 8, 1934, in Dalhart, Texas, to Russell and Margaret (Cromley) Claggett.

Russell married Catherine Stewart on April 2, 1968, in Dalhart, Texas.

He was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Moberly. He enjoyed reading, woodworking and tinkering with anything mechanical. His family and friends will always remember him for his sense of humor.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Claggett; parents, Russell and Margaret Claggett; brother, James Claggett; sister, Margaret “Peggy” and Charles Huff and niece, Rosa Huff.

Russell is survived by his sister-in-law, Barbara Claggett; three nephews, Mike Huff of Moberly, MO, Billy Claggett of Marshall, MO and Rusty Claggett of Marshall, MO; extended family and friends.

Per Russell’s wishes, there will be no services held.
