Ruth Marie Powell

Ruth Marie Powell, 77, passed away on March 14, 2017 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Ruth was born to Andrew H. and Esther L. (Wingert) Wheeler on March 14, 1940 in Moberly, Missouri. She enjoyed crocheting, loved animals, and was known as a "free spirit". Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darald G. Powell, brothers: Robert Wheeler, Dallas Wheeler, Andrew Wheeler, and J.C Wheeler; sisters: Stella Jean Wheeler and Aliene Johnson. Survivors include her daughter, Annette Jennings of Holt Summit, Missouri; son, Bruce Fischer of Moberly, Missouri; sisters: Betty (David) Mauzey of Moberly, Missouri and Martha Ames of Huntsville, Missouri; brothers: Dwight (Dorothy) Wheeler of Huntsville, Missouri and David (Sharon) Wheeler of West Plains, Missouri; sister-in-laws: Nancy Wheeler of Moberly, Missouri, Joann Wheeler of Cairo, Missouri, Esther Wheeler of Salt Lake City, Utah; and granddaughter, Ashli Williams of Boonville, Missouri. A Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery.
