Sara Koenig

Sara Taylor Koenig, 9, of Moberly passed away July 5, 2021. Sara was born November 20, 2011 in Columbia, MO to Wesley Koenig and Megan Henke Koenig. Sara was a member of the Redeemer Kids at the Redeemer Church in Moberly. Sara was always smiling despite having every reason not to. She loved Minnie Mouse, watching Cardinals games with Ma and Daddy, going for walks and watching mommy cook. She loved having books read to her and her favorite books were the Tractor Mac series. Sara will always be remembered for her amazing smile which could brighten the worst day. Everyone who met her fell in love with her and said her smile brightened their day. She loved attending school at Delmar Cobble. Those preceding her in death are her grandfather, Larry Koenig, great-grandmother, Wanda Woods, great-grandfather, Clemons Woods and a sibling, baby Koenig. Sara is survived by her parents, Wesley and Megan of Moberly; siblings, Ashley and Easton Koenig of Moberly; grandmother, Brenda Koenig of Moberly and grandmother, Laurie Hankins and husband Chad of Carrollton; great grandparents, Marjorie and Richard Koenig of Harrisburg; uncle, Kevin Koenig and wife Emily of Moberly; aunts, Kelsey Ancell and Jamie Ancell both of Moberly; cousin, Millie Koenig of Moberly, great aunts, Faith Woods and Penny Woods both of Moberly and Eadie and husband Kelly of Harrisburg; great uncles, Jeff Koenig of Harrisburg, Pete and wife LeAnn of Moberly, David Koenig of Prairie Home and Chris and wife Christy of Columbia; running buddy, Becky Wilson of Frederick, Maryland; extended family and many friends. Services celebrating Sara’s life will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home in Moberly followed by interment at the Higbee Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
