Scott Eric Toepfer

Scott Eric Toepfer, 61, of Moberly, MO passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 22, 2026 at Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans hospital.

Scott was a man known, and loved, by many. He was a kind, intelligent, and hardworking man who will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

As a loving father, he dedicated himself to raising us on his own, working long hours, managing the household chores, and cooking meals, all without ever complaining.

I can't help but wish I had more time with him, just a few more years to hear more of his life stories and the many adventures he found himself in. To learn the skills he had always meant to teach me. That he could see my brother and I become the people that live up to that legacy.

He was a man of remarkable talents, with skills ranging from woodworking and electrical work to leather crafting, armory, horseback riding, sharpshooting, and even art and writing. His passion for knowledge, history, and the arts was immense, and he always sought to learn more about his interests and the world around him.

Every day, he'll be missed by everyone who's known him, and he'll be in our hearts always. I hope that wherever he is, he's reunited with his late mother, older brother, and his many spoiled cats, and that he knows how loved he was."
