Sheila Suzann Rowe

Sheila S. Rowe, age 68, of Madison, MO, passed away surrounded by family on July 22, 2022, at Boone Hospital.

Sheila was born on December 7, 1953, in Burley ID to Harold and Rozelma (Mattice) Johnson. She graduated from William Woods University in 1994. She was employed with Orscheln Farm and Home for 25 years.

Sheila married Stephen Rowe on January 17, 2003, in Moberly, MO. She enjoyed quilting, hunting, square dancing, playing cards, and watching her grandkids sporting activities.

Sheila is preceded in death by her father, mother, and brother John Johnson.

She is survived by her husband, Stephen Rowe, her son Joseph Careaga, and daughter, Jill (Tim) Layton, step-children Stacey (Travis) Crum, Aron Rowe, both of Mexico, MO, Ashley (Quentin) Ashenfelter, Paris, MO, and Andrew (Brooke) Rowe of Springfield, MO, grandchildren, Ashley Hall, Jared Careaga, Jimmy Layton, Reed Layton, Grant Qualls, Parker Qualls, Kaitlyn Qualls, Lillie Mae Crum, Ashton Rowe, Kennedy Ashenfelter, Emma Ashenfelter, Loreli Ashenfelter, Barrett Rowe, and Lane Rowe, sisters Sherry (Paul) Chase, and Judy (Donald ) Chase, both of Huntsville, MO.

A memorial gathering celebrating Sheila’s life has been scheduled for July 27, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., at Madison Community Center. Inurnment to follow at the Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery in Jacksonville, MO at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Central Missouri Honor Flight in Sheila’s memory.
