Shirley Ann Wuthrich, of Moberly, MO, passed away peacefully at her home with her loving family at her side on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at the age of 81. Born on December 5, 1943, in Cairo, Missouri, Shirley was the daughter of Clyde Burris and Alma Lea (Moritz) Burris.
A graduate of Cairo High School, Shirley carried her roots deeply in her heart. Throughout her life, she embraced a variety of interests. She loved to sew, often creating treasured items for her family. Shirley enjoyed the thrill of going to the casino and the serenity of camping and fishing, but most importantly, she cherished the time spent with family and friends, making memories that will last a lifetime.
On July 15, 1961, she married her beloved husband, Robert Wuthrich, with whom she shared a joyful life until his passing. Together, they built a warm and loving family that has grown to include daughters; Deborah (Gary) Farnsworth and Rebecca (Dennis) Wright, and grandchildren; Jaci Villiocco, Jessie Miller, Brandy (Matt) Cook, Dustin (Tanya) Wright, and Josh (Ashley) Wright. Shirley also cherished her role as a grandmother to 12 great-grandchildren, who brought her immense joy and pride.
Shirley dedicated over five decades of her life to her career at Batchers Market in Moberly, Missouri, where she worked tirelessly for 53 years before retiring in March of 2021. Her commitment to her work was a testament to her strong work ethic and dedication.
Shirley is survived by her daughters, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as her siblings; Fran (Sandra) Burris and Norma Jean Ruth.
Shirley is preceded in death by her parents Clyde and Alma Burris and husband Robert Wuthrich.
She leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience, having touched the lives of many during her remarkable journey. Her warm spirit and passion for life will be remembered by all who knew her.
A visitation is scheduled for Monday, November 24 from 10:00 a.m.~ 11:30 a.m. at Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapel with graveside services to follow at 12:00 p.m. at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, MO.
