September 22, 1934 — November 19, 2025

Moberly

Stanley Roger Ferguson, 91, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away peacefully on November 19, 2025.

Born in Fostoria, Ohio, on September 22, 1934, Roger lived a life defined by faith, hard work, and deep love for his family. After marrying the love of his life, Sandra “Charlene” Ferguson, on July 15, 1956, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Moberly, the two built a strong and devoted partnership that spanned nearly seven decades.

Roger was a member of North Park Baptist Church, where he served faithfully and formed lifelong friendships. Professionally, he spent more than 40 years with Toastmaster, where his leadership and commitment earned him the respect of colleagues and friends alike.

A man of many passions, Roger held a private pilot’s license and loved spending time in the air. When he was no longer able to fly, he continued to nurture his love of aviation through remote controlled aircraft, gaining new friendships along the way.  He also enjoyed attending car shows, where he appreciated classic craftsmanship and design.  Roger found peace in the outdoors, especially while boating and fishing - pastimes that reflected his love of quiet, reflective moments spent close to nature.  Above all, Roger was the proud patriarch of his family. His greatest joy came from his son, grandsons, and great-grandchildren, whose accomplishments and lives brought him endless pride.

Roger is survived by his son Tim Ferguson and wife Sandra; grandsons Tim (Katie), David (Chelsey), and Chris (Sarah); and great-grandchildren Chloe, Ryan, Greyson, and Nathaniel. He is also survived by his siblings Phyllis Kenney, Jan (Gary) Lucas, and Lana (Ken) Burnham and multiple nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Lucille Ferguson, and siblings Carolyn McDiffitt, Ed Ferguson, and Sharon Davis.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by the funeral service, at Pathway–Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any donations are made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Roger leaves behind a legacy of faith, dedication, and profound love for his family. His steady presence and warm spirit will be deeply missed.
