Stephen Daniel Wright

Stephen Daniel Wright, 46, of Madison, Missouri passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, March 26, 2026. Stephen was born on December 1, 1979, in St. Louis, Missouri to his parents, Stephen K. and Teresa (Ward) Wright.

Stephen was a hardworking man who took great pride in what he built. In 2010, he started his own janitorial service called Magic City Cleaning LLC in Moberly, Missouri, and he managed it until his passing. He was always dedicated to his work.

Outside of work, Stephen enjoyed simple pleasures that brought him joy. He enjoyed fishing, bidding on online auctions, wandering thrift stores for hidden treasures, and spending time improving his skills, especially when it came to perfecting the craft of refinishing floors. Those who knew him will remember his sense of humor and the spontaneous songs and dances he would sometimes burst into, making people smile.

Stephen was a loving husband and father. He married his wife, Wendy Bernand, on August 8, 2016, in Moberly, Missouri. Together they shared a life filled with love and laughter.

Stephen is survived by his wife Wendy Wright of Madison, MO; his sons Anthony (Shay) Wright of Arnold, MO and RJ (Braylee) Edgar of Rives, TN; his daughters Miranda Wright and Samantha Wright, both of Madison, MO; his granddaughter Ava Edgar of Rives, TN; his mother Teresa Wright of Columbia, MO; sister Rita (Dan) Smith of Belleville, IL; as well as his extended family including several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Stephen K. Wright.

Stephen touched many lives with his kindness and humor. He will be missed dearly by all who know him.

Visitation will be held on Thursday April 2, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapel located at 411 Union Ave, Moberly, Missouri. The funeral service will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. Interment will be at Oakland Cemetery in Moberly, MO.
