Steven Dwayne Holman, age 66, of Huntsville, passed away on January 2, 2021, at Boone Hospital in Columbia surrounded by his wife and two children. He was born in Moberly on March 10, 1954 to Wayne and Dorris Ann (Cleeton) Holman. Steve was united in marriage to Tempy Lou (Ryals) on June 21, 1975, in Huntsville. He retired from Norfolk and Southern Railroad. He also worked for the Missouri Department of Corrections and the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office. Steve attended St. Pius X Catholic Church in Moberly and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. Steve was an avid fisherman; most days he could be found wherever the crappie were biting. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and playing golf. Steve’s true passion was spending time with his wife and family, especially his grandchildren. He spent many hours watching his grandchildren’s school programs and sporting events. He was easily heard cheering them on and supporting them in all they participated in. He spent countless hours with his grandchildren hunting, fishing, golfing, camping, and boating, creating many fond memories. He is preceded in death by his mother, Dorris Ann (Cleeton) Holman; grandparents, Joe and Lora Cleeton, and Olion and Nannie Holman. Steve is survived by his wife, Tempy Holman; his father and step-mother, Wayne and Marilyn Holman of O’Fallon; father and mother-in-law, J.P. & Velma Ryals of Clifton Hill; his children, Brad and Alexis Holman of Cairo and Annavee and Eric Brown of Macon; grandchildren, Hayden, Zander, Landry, and Emrey Holman; Trace, Kambria, and Quade Brown; siblings Debbie and Rodney Reams of St. Peters, Diane and Phil Derbak of O’Fallon, Brian and Hollie Holman of St. Charles; close sisters-in-law, Tammy and Mike Hill, Lisa and Rayle Rice, and Linda Haffecke; nieces, nephews, extended family and many close friends. A private Funeral Mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Moberly with a private inurnment scheduled for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Steven’s honor are suggested to the Grandchildren of Steve Holman Memorial c/o Regional Missouri Bank, attn: Kim Kendrick, 301 East US-24, Salisbury, MO 65281.
