Susan Renee” Sue” Wilson, 57, of Huntsville, MO passed away December 27, 2018 at Boone Hospital surrounded by her children, husband and close family. Sue was born on September 13, 1961 in Poplar Bluff, MO to Clarence Edward Asher and Hazel (Barnett) Asher. Sue graduated from Fayette High School in 1979. A year later she moved to Moberly, where she worked for Briggs and Daly for 15 years as a baker. She then went to work for the Moberly Correctional Center for 15 years before retiring. On August 23, 1996 she married Johnny Wilson in Moberly, MO and they spent 22 wonderful years together. Sue was an amazing mother, grandmother and wife. Her family adored her. She enjoyed gardening and flowers. She had a huge soft spot for any animal and pampered many pets over the years. Her favorite pastime was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Family and friends will always remember Sue as being a true friend who was always there for you. She was a devoted grandmother, her children’s biggest fan and Johnny’s best friend, fishing partner and loving wife. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, C.E. and Hazel Asher; sisters, Dolly Piotrowski and Barbara Gipson and brother, Tim Asher. She is survived by her husband, Johnny Wilson of Huntsville; her children, Mandi and Scott Hamlin of Columbia, Deven and Tiffany Elliott of Hannibal and Magen Elliott of Huntsville; beloved grandchildren, Gaven, GraceLynne, Grayde and Oliver of Columbia, Charles, and Cory of Hannibal, Anna of Harrisburg and Zoe and Payten of Hannibal; brother and sister-in-law, Ed and Davida Asher of Columbia and many nieces and nephews. A graveside service celebrating Sue’s life will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 2, 2019 from noon until 1:45 p.m. at which time there will be a brief sharing of memories prior to departing for the cemetery. Memorial Contributions in Sue’s honor are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 2409 Hyde Park Rd., Jefferson City, MO 65109.
