Valerie J. Nicholas, 58, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away on December 26, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family.

Valerie was born on May 11, 1967, in Denver, Colorado, to Hector and Elvira Flores. She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Elvira whom she held close in her heart throughout her life. She is survived by her father, Hector.

Valerie was a devoted wife, mother, and Nana, roles she cherished above all else. Her family was the center of her world, and she found her greatest joy in time spent with those she loved. Valerie had a deep love for life's simple and meaningful moments. She enjoyed traveling and trying new things, browsing antique malls, and cooking holiday meals that brought everyone together around the table. Some of her favorite moments were spent sitting on her back porch, watching the sunset, and cheering on her grandsons at their activities, never missing a chance to support them.

A dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse, Valerie cared deeply for others and approached her work with compassion and commitment. Her kindness, warmth, and steady presence touched many lives, both personally and professionally.

Valerie is survived by her husband, Steve Nicholas; children, Lauren (Zach) Anderson and Dillon (Amanda Allen) Nicholas; her treasured grandsons, Ethan Anderson, Evan Anderson, and Nolan Nicholas, who brought her endless pride and happiness.

Above all, Valerie will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to her family. and the joy she found in celebrating life's moments, big and small. She leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue through her children, grandchildren, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2025 at 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. with a service to follow at Rocky Fork Fellowship located at 12095 Route B, Hallsville, MO, 65255.
