Virga “Virgie” Ruth Twyman, 82, of Moberly, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Moberly Nursing & Rehab. She was born October 29, 1934, a daughter of Clide Leonard and Hettie Mae (Perkins) Chrystal. Virgie had a love for arts & crafts. She enjoyed camping and fishing as well as singing. She previously served as a Girl Scout leader and Sunday School teacher. Her grandkids were very important to her and she was known for always buying them gum and teaching them where to discard of it….behind their ear. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Twyman; son-in-law, Henry Shuck; brothers and sisters; grandchildren, Ronald Gates and Christina Gates; great grandchild, Sebastian Gravitt. She is survived by her sons: Estil “Eddie” (Linda) McDermit, and James McDermit both of Moberly; daughters: Carmen Shuck of Mexico, Connie (Randy) Dameron of Moberly, Linda (James) Glithero of Moberly; 22 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly with Pastor Dustyn Tallman officiating. Burial will follow at the Antioch Pioneer Cemetery in Bevier, Missouri. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
