William "Speck" Everett Cox, 71, of Huntsville, Missouri, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019, at the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans' Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. Speck was born on April 7, 1948, to Israel Richard and Mildred (Coleman) Cox in Brookfield, Missouri. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps and during his career he worked in construction. Survivors include his daughters: Brandi Everitt and Lanie Everitt of Independence, Missouri; brothers: Richard Cox of Huntsville, Missouri, Daniel Burns of Anchorage, Alaska, and Charles Burns of Phoenix, Arizona; grandson, Brendyn Everit; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Burns; and sisters: Donna Ouderkirk and Frances Pemberton. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly, Missouri. Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Pastor Johnny Milnes officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, Missouri, under the direction of Million Taylor Funeral Homes.
