William Earl Pollard

William Earl (Wild Bill) Pollard, 72, of Moberly, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 5th, 2024, peacefully at home. Bill was born the youngest child and only son to Billie and Martha Pollard on June 24, 1951, in Moberly, MO. He married Wanda Loudermilk when they were both teenagers and had two children during their ten-year marriage.

Bill worked tirelessly to provide for his young family; first as a vault setter for Wilbert Vault and then as a truck driver for decades until his retirement from Mid-Am Building Supply. In his free time, he was an artist, biker, avid kite flyer, an exceptional storyteller, and a rebel at heart. Bill had a passion for tattoos, Harleys, and music, as well as collecting knives, toys, and jewelry.

He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Bonnie Riedel. Survivors include his children; daughter, Monica Hochberg of Decatur, IL, son Isreal Pollard and his wife, Deanna Thrasher of Moberly, MO; grandchildren Justin Pinckard, Andrea West, Tre Pollard, Gabriel Hochberg, Mason Bivins, and Addison Pollard; great-grandchildren Waylon Krispin, Emma, and Evynn West; and Owen, Jude, and Mylo Pinckard; his beloved sister, Elaine Clickner and her husband, Joe, of Moberly, MO; his nieces, Kelli Garnett, Tracy Howard, Rogie Mickle, and Erin Clickner and their families; also, his best friend who he called brother, Tom Sutphin of Renick, MO.
 
Bill’s Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, May 4th, from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. with a motorcycle ride at sunset and Jack & Coke toast immediately following. All are welcomed and invited by the family to celebrate and honor the creative, colorful, and dynamic life of Wild Bill.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to help fund the release of his ashes. His children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will travel together to fulfill his wish of having his ashes spread with Bonnie’s.
