William "Bill" "Smitty" Smith

William “Bill” “Smitty” Smith, 60, of Moberly passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Bill was born to the late Bobby E. and Betty Louise (Adkisson) Smith on May 19, 1955 in Moberly, Missouri. He was to say the least, a huge Ram’s lover and follower. He enjoyed watching and talking about football. He loved people and children and did not know a stranger. Bill was very proud of his 30 year sobriety and being an Elder at First Christian Church in Moberly where he was a member. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Barry and Brady Smith. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Susan (Robb) Smith of Moberly; daughters: Becky Heaston and husband Jesse of Moberly, Mo, and Tara Smith and Rex Bennett of Moberly, MO; brothers: Bob Smith of Moberly, MO and Bruce Smith of Moberly, MO; grandchildren: Summer-Jaid Lattin, Mason Scott Sickler, Destiny Danielle Lattin, Hannah Grace Bailey, William Gage Lattin, Emil'ya Heaston, Jesse Heaston, Jr., and Amil'ya Heaston. Visitation will be held on Monday, October 26, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, October 27, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of the Funeral Home with Rev. Jay Self officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Moberly, MO.
