Wilma Charlene Settle

Wilma Charlene Settle, 82, a resident of Moberly, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024. 

Wilma was born on February 1, 1942, in Moberly, the daughter of Gilbert Kirkendoll and Marie (Stevenson) Kirkendoll. On July 25, 1958, she married Jack A. Settle in Moberly, and he survives. 

Over the last couple of years Wilma has had a love of watching the St. Louis Cardinals play baseball. She enjoyed doing word search puzzles and bird watching. She enjoyed spending time with her family, but especially enjoyed all the porch parties with her family. 

In addition to her husband Jack of close to 66 years, she will be sadly missed and forever remembered by four children, Tammy Garnett, Janet Bradley, Mike Settle and wife Anita, all of Moberly, and Carol Hunt and husband Ronnie of Huntsville; her grandchildren, LeeAnne Block and husband Justin, Daniel Garnett and wife Donna, Chris Bradley, Kayla Nelson and husband Dave, Amber Settle, Jaclyn Miller and husband Justin, Jared Hunt, Tyler Hunt, Logan Hunt and wife Eugenia, Camryn Baer and husband Ben; 12 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one sister, Nancy Johnson and husband John of Columbia; one sister-in-law, Kathy Kirkendoll of Moberly. 

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; many siblings and their spouses, Marjorie Ames and husband Floyd, Wanda “Sue” Hendren and husband Bill, Linda Esry and husband Donald, Pam Baker, William “Bubby” Kirkendoll and Randy Kirkendoll; niece, Deni Marie; nephew, Randy Ames, great niece, Cheyenne Ames; many other cherished family and friends. 

Services honoring Wilma’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Pathway-Millard Funeral Chapel with Pastor Vic Comstock officiating. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service and following the services, Wilma will be laid to rest in Hagar Cemetery in Huntsville.
